Established in 1972 by the visionary Shri J. Kanraj Mali, JK Group began its journey with a modest fancy store, founded on the timeless principles of trust, quality, and integrity. What started as a small retail outlet in a local neighborhood soon grew into a trusted name in the community, recognized for its customer-first approach and unwavering commitment to excellence. With limited resources but unlimited dedication, Shri Kanraj laid the foundation of what would become one of Tamil Nadu’s most dynamic and diversified business groups.
In 1987, a new era of growth began when the next generation—Shri Ramesh Kumar, Shri Madan Raj, and Shri Jayanthilal—took over the reins. Their collective leadership and strategic thinking transformed the business from a single-store venture into a multi-sector enterprise. Over the years, JK Group has expanded its footprint across a wide range of industries including wholesale and semi-wholesale trade, stationery, restaurant and catering supplies, bio-food packaging, groceries, cosmetics, gifts and baby products, modern retail supermarkets, tiles and bath fittings, agricultural machinery with Mahindra tractors, and a comprehensive real estate division. Each venture was driven by a shared vision—to deliver quality, build trust, and become the most reliable name in every market we serve.
